About ME

I am originally from Montana but have had many great adventures in my life! I got my Masters degree from the University of Oregon and have been teaching since 2008. I spent 5 years in Mexico teaching English in all academic levels, from elementary school to university level. I have also taught in a Spanish immersion program at the elementary school level in the U.S. I currently teach Spanish at the high school level in Oregon and I love my job! I usually teach Spanish 3, 4 and AP and focus on how to move students along the proficiency continuum at the higher levels. I love the opportunity to create lessons that embrace comprehensible input while making them engaging and interactive for students. I incorporate both story listening and storytelling techniques in my teaching while infusing more authentic resources that allow students to increase their proficiency levels.
